UNIVERSITY DESTINATION OF LEAVERS

St Mary’s Sixth Form students are highly successful in securing competitive places on an impressive range of courses at a wide range of leading universities, including the Russell Group and Oxbridge, as well as at leading American universities.
At St Mary's we pride ourselves on the fact that our university support is bespoke for every student. Girls' needs and aspirations are all very different, but we will support them individually to find the right university path. The most important issue is to ensure that the course they choose will ensure academic success and genuine enjoyment. The majority of our girls go directly to university after leaving St Mary's but a number will gain deferred entry on their course as they have exciting plans to widen their work experience, explore new cultures and broaden their outlook. Others will decide to apply post A Level, once they have secured their grades, as they want to be sure of selecting the correct degree course. In addition, several students each year will decide to study a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design before deciding which Higher Education path to follow.
