Last Friday, 8th December, all the LIV girls made the short walk along the Oxford Road to entertain the residents of Penn Court with some festive cheer. The trip coincided with Christmas Jumper Mufti Day, so there was an array of colour, tinsel, antlers and hats on parade. Everyone sang some well-known carols and the residents were encouraged to sing along with the girls, and these were interspersed with some beautiful vocal solos from Izzy and Iris. The girls also showed off their special carol, Babe of Bethlehem, ahead of the School Carol Service, before ending proceedings with an amusing rendition of Jingle Bell Rock, complete with home-made choreography!
The girls thoroughly enjoyed entertaining all the people there, and the residents and staff were delighted that they brought the spirit of the season on to their doorstep so enthusiastically. Thank you to Mrs Fryar for playing the piano, and to Mrs Hayes for accompanying the trip.
