National South West Schools Cross Country Final, NorwichThe National Schools Cross Country Championships mark the culmination of the English Schools' Athletic Association (ESAA)'s season, where the best athletes in the country compete, having qualified for their respective counties through previous events. With nearly 350 athletes in each age group it is a real spectacle, particularly at the start of the races.

Fencing Crystal PalaceOn the evening of 13th March, 11 girls set off to the Public Schools' Fencing Championships at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. With an overnight stay in an hotel, three-course supper and a large breakfast, the girls were fuelled for a full day of fencing. There were 110 schools there from all over the country.
