Last weekend (20th - 21st October) saw the NSEA Championships take place at Keysoe Equestrian Centre in Bedfordshire.

Our team of Alice (UIV), Lily E. (UV), Millie (LV) and Tilly (UVI) represented St Mary’s in the 90/95cm JwS Class. It was a tough, technical track and that was really going to test both horse and rider. The girls all produced fabulous rounds. With the odd pole down, it left us out of the top placings, however, it had been a fantastic day.

Lila (UV) had qualified for the 1.10 Individual Championship on both of her ponies. Lila’s young pony, Lappi, produced a fantastic round to finish in 2nd place - just 0.2 seconds behind the winner.

Lila went on to win the hotly contested 1.20 Elite Class on Lady, with Lappi also finishing in 3rd place.

St Mary’s was also well represented at the Bicton International BE event, with Pandora (UVI) finishing just outside the top 10 with a double clear in the CCI*; Abbie (UV) jumped a double clear on her first attempt at a CIC* and Lily R. (UV) had a great ride in the BE100 Open three-day event.

I would also like to thank John Moore for all of the lovely photos from the Championships and all of the parents who took the time to drive all the way to Keysoe to enable the girls to compete at the School Championships.
