On Saturday 26th January, the school competitions for 2019 got underway for the St Mary’s Riding Teams at West Wilts Equestrian Centre and with several girls entered for classes across the day, St Mary's was well represented.

Year 9 girls Amelia, Clemmie, Daisy and Olivia started the day fantastically. The girls were competing in the 70cm Arena Eventing, and four brilliant rounds jumped and a good finishing score meant they finished in 5th place in a very busy class. Daisy then jumped a lovely clear round in the 80cm Arena Eventing Class.

Alice (Year 9) pulled out all of the stops to win the 90cm Arena Eventing Class, qualifying for the Championships that will take place at Hickstead in May. Sadie (Year 9) and Tilly (Year 13) also jumped excellent rounds in this class. It was also great to see Beatriz (Year 10) out representing the school in both the 1m Show Jumping Class and the 1m Arena Eventing Class.
