The MIV Form had a day of colour and texture in Enrichment Week. They spent the morning designing their own woodland onto felt they had already made. The felt was made from scratch over the last few weeks, layering bright colours to make vivid and unique backgrounds. They learnt many different embroidery stitches during the morning which they used in their design. In the afternoon, they put together what they had learnt in the morning and stitched threads, wools, felt and fabric to their handmade felt. The outcome was a wonderfully diverse response to the woodland theme with energetic and tactile textiles works being produced. The girls will finish these pieces in art lessons during the next half of term.
