On Friday evening, St Mary's Calne held their annual Spring Concert. The programme was, as ever, an eclectic mix of music from Elgar to Coldplay. (19.03.12)
It has been a very busy Spring Term for The Delscey Burns Theatre and its ever versatile space. It has hosted a number of dramatic events including our wonderful LAMDA evening, the Jonny Wilkes Swing Night and last Monday, the AS Level plays. (15.03.12)

On Thursday 8th March 28 girls and 3 staff members set off on the Classics trip to the Bay of Naples. The mood was buoyant following some excellent public examination results received immediately before departure.
The U14 Netball Squad left school on Friday morning on their weekend tour to Windermere. The team produced some fantastic results and it was a great weekend away.
We were delighted, once again, to welcome back an old girl and artist, Endellion, to St Mary’s Calne. She gave a truly inspiring lunchtime talk to the Fifth and Sixth Form artists.
Over the past two weekends, the LV Form DofE Teams have successfully completed their Bronze Practice Expeditions.
On Thursday, we were delighted to welcome children from Abberley Hall, St Margaret’s and some of our 11+ 2013 entrants for our Myths and Legends Prep School Day.
On Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd of March, the St Mary’s 1st and 2nd Lacrosse teams went to the annual Lacrosse National Schools Tournament. (05.03.12)
On Sunday 4th March, St Mary's held its third show jumping event at the West Wilts Equestrian Centre near Melksham. We had a wonderful turn out of competitors from both St Mary's and schools around the region.
On 1st March, girls and staff celebrated World Book Day in a memorable way whilst raising money for the Prince's Trust.
On Saturday 25th February Jonny Wilkes wowed the audience with a sensational performance at the Spectacular Swing Night held in the Delscey Burns Theatre in aid of The 2012 Sports Hall Fund.
LVI Form girls enjoyed a stimulating day of advice and debate on women in work from leading career women at the school’s annual Women in Corporate Culture conference. (28.2.12)
On Sunday evening, Grosstete hosted an Inter-Company Quiz for the Fourth Form. Each Company had four mixed year group teams who were faced with an array of questions on topics ranging from children’s television themes to 2012, and from general knowledge to cockney rhyming slang.
During the half term break a group of students from St Mary's Calne visited Florence on a History of Art based trip.

This year’s Lecture Programme concluded with a superb, but undeniably poignant talk, by multi BAFTA and EMMY award-winning documentary maker, Kate Blewett.
The MIV Form were examined by the English Speaking Board today and presented an impressive range of talks, recited poems and read extracts from their favourite books. (9.2.12)
On Tuesday afternoon, the UIV Form took part in a cross-curricular Olympic themed Enrichment Activity devised by Miss Shuttleworth and Mrs Foreman. (9.2.12)
All LIV Form girls participated in two workshops related to gamelan, a style of music found in Indonesia. (8.2.12)
On Tuesday of Enrichment Week, Mr Mavor and Mrs Hodge ran a joint language session in French and Spanish for all of the MIV Form linguists. (8.2.12)
As part of Enrichment Week, the UIV Form competed in a Team Maths Challenge in Top Hall. (7.2.12)
The LIV Form produced a variety of fascinating talks on Monday, which were enjoyed by both their classmates and English Speaking Board examiners alike.
After many weeks of planning and preparation, Charity Week finally arrived. Many of the charities chosen this year had the personal touch, as the girls had nominated them because either they or their families had been affected or had received support. (6.2.12)

51 teams took part in the Independent British Schoolgirls’ Skiing Championship in Flaine, France from Friday 27th January to Wednesday 1st February.
Yasmin (MIV Form) and Georgia (LIV Form) have been selected to run in the South West Cross Country Championships this weekend which means they could qualify for the Nationals. Congratulations girls!
