U13s Runners-Up at South West Lacrosse Tournament

On 7th March, the U13 Lacrosse Team competed at the South West Schools Tournament at Westonbirt.

The girls played very well in their morning play offs. They were unlucky to lose to Queen Anne's 3-2, but had an excellent win, 7-0, against St Bartholomew's, and succeeded in qualifying for the Premiership in the afternoon.

The section was very close, with all the teams losing at least one game. The U13s lost 2-1 to St Helen's and St Katharine's, drew to Queen Anne's 1-1, and beat Downe House 5-1. The girls did certainly not give up and fought hard for every ball.  Their finishing in front of goal let them down on occasions, but at other times was exceptional!

Overall, the girls played very well and showed that they definitely have the potential to succeed as a team. They should be very proud of their second place in the tournament.  Well done girls!
