Girls deliver excellent EPQ presentations

On Monday 9th March, two UVI Form girls gave their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) presentations to Head of Sixth Form, Miss Aherne, and Head of History, Government & Politics, Miss Gisborne.

Imogen presented on How can the high percentage of the Danish pre-war Jewish population saved during the Holocaust be explained?

Rosie's presentation explored the following: "Mobutu Sese Seko was a modern incarnation of King Leopold II in the Congo": to what extent do you agree with this statement?

Both of the girls gave excellent and very thorough presentations.  The EPQ is an independent research project which the girls have worked on throughout the year; it includes a 5,000-word essay and a presentation.  The EPQ helps to support university applications, as well as developing the pupils’ independent learning skills which are essential for successful undergraduate study.  We wish the girls every success with their projects!
