We had a great weekend on 16th and 17th May at the Stonar Mini ISODE, with nearly all our riders finishing in the placings.

On Friday 15th May, St Mary’s Calne hosted An Evening with Rory Bremner; the event was a huge success and was attended by over 350 guests. 

Outstanding performances at ESAA English Schools Track & Field Cup

On Wednesday 13th May, the Inter and Junior Girls Athletics Teams took part in the first round of the ESAA Track and Field Cup at Marlborough College. It was a hot day but with little wind it was perfect for athletics. 

'Ace' Inter-Company Tennis Tournament

On Tuesday 12th May, we held the UIV Form Inter-Company Tennis Tournament and an impressive 40 girls took part, thanks to the great depth of skill within the year group, as well as the additional number of courts we now have since the new astro turf was built.

Former Parents enjoy drinks party reunion

It was a real pleasure to welcome parents of leavers from 2011, 2012 and 2013 back into school for a drinks reception on the evening of Friday 8th May.

Tennis Tournament raises nearly £600 for Nepal Charity

With 12 pairs entered into the Ed Rich Charity Tennis Tournament organised on Sunday 10th May to raise funds for the Charitable Foundation for the Education of Nepalese Children, a fun day’s tennis was guaranteed.

On Friday 8th May, the LIV and MIV Form (Years 7 and 8) enjoyed their final Challenge and Adventure (CAA) session at Cotswold Water Park.

Girls impress at Young Enterprise County Final

On Thursday 7th May, six members of St Mary’s Young Enterprise company, ‘Jarred’, represented the school at the Wiltshire County Final.

UVI Form girl has Scientific findings published in Environmental Microbiology Journal

Many congratulations to UVI Form pupil, Mila Zudina, who has been attending Molecular Biology summer school in Russia for the last two summers, conducting research on the transfer of microbial genes to other organisms. Last year she was promoted to be one of the leaders and the group's research has just been published as an opinion piece in the Society for Applied Microbiology's Environmental Microbiology Journal.

Pumbaa jumps double clear at Withington

Congratulations to UVI Form pupil Franziska Goess-Saurau (Pumbaa) on her success in the Withington Manor Horse Trials on 2nd May. 

Pupil makes a splash at the National Synchronised Swimming Championships

Many congratulations to Verity (UV Form) who won two gold medals in the Free Team and Combination Team, and also the Technical Team medal, to secure the Redwood Trophy at the ASA National Synchronised Swimming Championships on the weekend of 2nd May.
