Debating the Brexit question

On Monday 7th March, after an excellent presentation in Chapel by the LVI Government and Politics students on the topic that morning, girls from different years came to debate the motion: 'This house would have the UK leave the European Union'.

With just 15 minutes' preparation, the two sides engaged in a lively debate on the issue, discussing immigration, the economy and defence, to name but a few topics.

When it came to the vote, the opposition won the majority of the votes to stay in the European Union.
