On Saturday 8th June 34 UIV Form girls and four teachers left St Mary’s for an exciting week-long French trip to Saint-Malo in Brittany.
On Tuesday 18th June we were blessed with a warm, dry day for our much anticipated Inter-Company Sports Day.
As part of Enrichment Week, the MIV Form visited Bristol on 14th June to consolidate their Religious Studies lessons on Judaism, Christianity and Hinduism over the past two years.
On a cold, slightly rainy day the remaining UIV Form (others had gone to St Malo, France) ventured into the deep depths of the Oxfordshire countryside to try their hands at a little bushcraft.
Enrichment week got off to a good start for the 27 UIV Form girls who travelled to London to visit the British Museum.
St Mary's student and accomplished rider, Franziska Goess-Saurau (Pumbaa), has been shortlisted to represent GB in the forthcoming European Pony Championships.
Consider the Lilies: A History of St Mary's Calne, is written by Calne Old Girl and school archivist, Elizabeth Christie, and explores St Mary's from 1873 to 2013.
St Mary's welcomed a new member to the community this week with the arrival of the appropriately named 'Lily' - the Headmistress's gorgeous golden retriever puppy!
On Monday 10th June the History Department took the MIV and LVI Forms to Montacute House in Somerset.
On Sunday 9th June Mr Rob Auckland and Miss Sarah Bravington accompanied five girls from the LVI Form to the Cheltenham Science Festival.
All the girls from the LIV Form took part in flower planting in Calne last Wednesday to contribute to the local community and bring some colour and vibrancy to Calne.
