Who's Who in School House

Mrs Clayton Miss MattsMrs Hayes

Mrs Michelle Clayton is Housemistress to School House and also a teacher of Physics. She is supported by Miss Alicia Matts as Deputy Housemistress; Miss Matts teaches Classics. The Day Housemistress, Mrs Chris Hayes, looks after the girls during the day when the Housemistresses have teaching commitments. In the evenings, House Tutors help in the House; these teachers include Mrs Elizabeth Rothwell, Mrs Elizabeth Thompson, Mrs Annika Jones, Miss Candice Brockwell and Dr Stephen Drape. We also are lucky to have a Gap Student, Miss Natalie Cox, assisting in the House.

Mac and Beth, our two lovely black labradors also play an important pastoral role, providing cuddles as well as hoovering services!

School House is home to St Mary’s LIV Form (Year 7). The girls sleep in dormitories of between three and six girls. The day girls are well-integrated into the House and they have futons within the dorms. This enables them to stay overnight on occasions. Day Girls are always invited to sleep over on the first day of term and also the first Saturday night of the year if they wish.
