An excellent start for U13s at the ECB Schools Indoor Girls’ Cricket Qualifier

On Tuesday, our U13 cricket team began their season with an indoor match hosted by Hardenhuish School in Chippenham. St Mary’s lost the toss and were put in to bat, scoring a respectable 55 runs from their eight overs.

In the second innings, Emilia S (MIV) took a wicket with her first ball and went on to claim two wickets in the match. The remaining wickets were shared across the team, with a combination of run-outs and catches.

Priya (MIV) sealed victory for St Mary’s by bowling out the Hardenhuish team in the final over, restricting them to 48 runs. Congratulations to all involved.

St Mary’s have now progressed to the county finals, which will take place on 6 February in Chippenham.
