This week, our annual Scholastic Book Fair is taking place in the Lumi Library. The Book Fair, available to visit until next Monday, offers a fantastic selection of books including popular and much-loved titles such as Wuthering Heights, Lord of the Rings and Lord of the Flies, alongside exciting new releases.

Pupils have been encouraged to visit the fair and choose a novel that truly captures their imagination – perhaps the perfect read to enjoy over the half-term break. With something to suit every reader, the fair is an opportunity for pupils to explore new authors, discover different genres and develop a lifelong love of reading.

The book fair is open until Monday and welcomes readers from across the school community – pupils and staff alike. Every purchase also helps to support our school by earning free books and resources for the library.

The Scholastic Book Fair aims to inspire enthusiasm for reading, build confidence in book choice and encourage pupils to broaden their reading horizons in a fun and engaging way.

St Mary’s is proud to support the 2026 Year of Reading, celebrating the power of stories, the joy of books and the vital role reading plays in learning, wellbeing and imagination.
