Seventeen St Mary’s Calne pupils proudly represented North Wiltshire at the County Athletics Championships on Saturday 13 June, producing a number of excellent performances and bringing home several medals.
A special congratulations goes to Charlotte P (MIV), whose outstanding run in the 800m earned her qualification for the next stage of the competition. As a result, Charlotte was selected to represent Wiltshire at the South West Championships held at Exeter Arena on Saturday 20 June – a remarkable achievement and a wonderful opportunity to compete against some of the region’s strongest athletes.
Well done also to the other pupils who competed at the County Championships and represented North Wiltshire with enthusiasm, resilience and sporting spirit. We look forward to seeing what Charlotte and the rest of our talented athletes achieve next year.
