Bowood House is nestled in the undulating Wiltshire countryside, just a couple of miles up the road. The LVI recently visited the house and its stunning grounds to document the estate, particularly the wooded areas, so help with their study of Tom Thompson. His loose brushstrokes and liberal application of paint give his work its distinctive style. He focuses on natural beauty in the form of rugged landscapes, often woodland, portrayed in the effervescent colours of an Autumnal evening.

The girls have been really inspired and have begun studying his work, through transcriptions and experimentation, culminating in their own paintings in Thompsons style.
