Well it looks to be the end of an era in the World of Dorset and Wiltshire Lacrosse. On Saturday the U15A and B teams remained unbeaten to defend and regain their County Champion title as did the promising U14B team. But very excitingly, our 1st and 2nd team finally ended Godolphin’s six year reign on home soil at Beversbrook, beating Marlborough, Sherborne and Godolphin to become County Champions.
Yesterday tired but confident players joined the other county teams for Dorset and Wiltshire trials and an amazing 22 St Mary’s players were selected for both U19 and U15.
For those of you who have not made it past the school shop since Friday lunch time will not have noticed that the new astroturf and hard courts are now in use with the Senior hockey team enjoying an very close battle with Downe House on Saturday. The official opening is at our Celebration of Sport on Saturday 18th October. If you would still like to enter the family tennis or the fun team triathlon and you are not playing against the old girls, please do so quickly.
Good luck to the U16 and U14 Netball teams in the Area Tournament on Thursday.
