In place of our usual Junior Play (which we had planned this year to be Emil and the Detectives by Eric Castner and Karl Miller) we decided to create a series of radio play episodes based on this script; a project which we could easily facilitate via Calne Connected lessons. The girls worked very hard in groups to record their voices and sound effects and I would like to take this opportunity to share a number of the episodes with you. The play tells the story of young Emil who travels to Berlin alone to visit his Grandma. On the train his money is stolen by villain, Mr Snow. Once in Berlin, Emil acquires a gang of young friends who become detectives in the hunt for Mr Snow and the money. (Performance rights acquired from United Agents).
