Our girls made us very proud this past week with their excellent sporting results! We had our best performances ever at the WSAA Wiltshire County Championships with five St Mary’s Athletes crowned County Champions:
(LV) Ariana was 1st in the 300m, Caroline was 1st in the 800m, Vicky was 2nd in Shot Putt, Lucy was 2nd in the 3000m and Flora was 3rd in the 300m and Long Jump.
(UIV) Lottie was 1st in the High Jump and Hebe was 2nd in Javelin.
(MIV) Susie was 1st in the 800m and Emma was 1st in the 100m.
The U15s came 3rd at the Regional B Track & Field Cup Final in Exeter which was a very pleasing result against strong teams from across the South West Region. We won 21 out of 24 tennis matches last week against both Dauntsey’s and Downe House. Notably, an U15A AEGON victory over Dauntsey’s which came down to a deciding championship set tie break which Amelia and Sophie (LV) won 10-7. We are also proud of the U13ABC who did not drop a set to Dauntsey’s nor Downe House. Our 1st VI, U14A (with half in France), U13A and U12A all beat Downe House. A very well done to all who participated!
