Our equestrian team had a fantastic Half Term weekend competing at Hickstead, the home of British showjumping. Qualifying for such a prestigious event was a huge achievement in itself, but the performances and results our riders produced made the occasion even more special.
The standout result came in the Inter-County 80–85cm Show Jumping class, where Eliza H, Sophia SP, Octavia SP and Amelia S proudly represented Wiltshire. Competing towards the end of a large and highly competitive class featuring substantial, full-up fences, all four riders delivered excellent rounds. Each jumped clear and recorded impressive times, leaving the team on a score of zero faults and securing an outstanding second-place finish against counties from across the country.
The weekend also saw some excellent individual performances. Bea L and Eugenie F produced superb rounds in both the Show Jumping and Arena Eventing classes, while Sophia SP also rode a fantastic clear round in the Arena Eventing.
All of the riders represented the school brilliantly, demonstrating skill, determination and composure despite the pressure of the competition and the challenging hot conditions. They rode with confidence and pride throughout the weekend, earning great results while showcasing excellent sportsmanship.
We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the way they conducted themselves throughout this memorable and successful trip to Hickstead. Congratulations to everyone involved on a wonderful experience and an outstanding set of performances.
