Festive fun on Christmas Jumper Day

December saw St Mary’s transformed into a festive flurry of colour, creativity, and Christmas cheer as students and staff took part in the school’s annual Christmas Jumper Day fundraiser for Save the Children. Once again, the halls shimmered with tinsel, baubles, and twinkling lights. Reindeer, snowmen, elves, and even Father Christmas himself made cheerful appearances across knitwear of every shape and size.

Every student who joined in donated to the cause, and while the final amount raised is still being counted, one thing is already certain – the spirit of giving was stronger than ever.

Save the Children is a remarkable charity that brings hope and life-saving essentials – such as food, water, shelter, and education – to children in crisis across the world. Here in the UK, the charity helps families access vital support and ensures vulnerable children stay warm, safe, and nourished during difficult times.

The generosity shown by the St Mary’s community was fantastic, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who donated and embraced the festivities with such enthusiasm. We’ll be sharing the final total at the start of term, but until then, thank you for making this year’s Christmas Jumper Day such a success.
