Science Technician - part time (36 hrs per wk), term time

There is an opportunity for an experienced Science Technician to join our award-winning team (Platinum Science Mark 2018-2021) at an exciting time when the Head of Science responsibility has just been passed to a new Head of Department.  Our new Technician will organise and prepare Biology practical activities, provide specialist technical support for Biology (including classroom support) and will also support the other services of the Science Department resulting in a full, varied and satisfying role within the team.

Part time hours: 36 hours per week over 5 days 

This is a term time only position.  The salary is based on a full time equivalent in the region of £21,000-£22,000 but salary may be negotiable for the right candidate.

Examinations Officer (40 hrs per wk), term time

We are looking for an organised and professional individual with excellent attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure to lead our examinations department. With ultimate responsibility for all aspects of public examinations (including mock examinations), invigilation staff and the department budget, the ideal candidate will have previous experience in an Exams role, be logical and able to communicate effectively with the school community including parents, pupils and senior staff.

This post offers 40 hours per week (over 5 days), 35 weeks per year plus 3 weeks during times of exam results in August. Five holiday weeks are paid in addition to working weeks to complete the annual salary for this role.

This is a term time only position.  The salary is based on a full time equivalent in the region of £31,000 but salary may be negotiable for the right candidate.
