Education Education Bristol Old VicOn Friday 3rd November the GCSE and A Level Drama students went to the Bristol Old Vic theatre to watch the Wardrobe Ensemble's Education Education Education. It was a nostalgic political comedy set in 1997 following the Labour Party's election. We followed the lives of a selection of teachers in a struggling comprehensive school. It was narrated by a German teaching assistant whose deadpan humour followed us throughout as we were shown a variety of characters. Tensions run high on the last day of school for the Year 11s, as problem student, Emily Greenslade, causes havoc through petitions and sit-ins.

The show used a slick mixture of physical theatre and ensemble movement, teamed with farcical elements of comedy. The show was soundtracked throughout by 90's music. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, many saying it was the best play so far.
