Sixth Form Drama Scholars, Alicia and Jemima, were involved in bringing Howell Productions' performance of Looking for Mummy to the Delscey Burns Theatre at St Mary's Calne on 8th March.

The girls had seen the performance, which is an informative and moving piece about the arrest and detainment of British-Iranian national Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, in London. Inspired by the story, they were determined that it should be seen at St Mary's. The hard-hitting production, featuring a cast of four talented young actors, was followed by a Q&A kindly hosted by Penny Madden QC with the director Emi Howell, performers, and Nazanin's husband Richard Ratcliffe.

The performance was well attended by girls, staff and parents. At the end of the production, audience members were encouraged to record in writing for Nazanin what they would do with one day of freedom. You can catch the show on the remainder of its UK tour: 12th-15th March at The Mission Theatre in Bath, 17th March at JW3 in West Hampstead, 28th March at Applecarts Arts Centre in London and 29th March at Cheese and Grain in Frome.
