LAMDA

Director of Drama, Mr Duncan Ellis, took time in Chapel on 10th June to celebrate the terrific achievements of our girls in the last round of LAMDA performance examinations. Across the board, the results were outstanding, with virtually every girl receiving a Distinction.

Categories ranged from Acting (including the awarding of many gold, silver and bronze medals among the older performers) to Verse speaking and Musical Theatre. There were some duologues among the awards, although they were dominated by solo performances.

The Chapel was enlivened by extracts (filmed remotely) by Phoebe (Year 10), Izzy (Year 9) and Rosie (Year 11), and even online, the class, poise, and sheer versatility of our girls shone through. Mr Ellis finished the Chapel by thanking our brilliant, committed LAMDA staff: Mrs Underwood, Mrs Cochran-Patrick, Mrs Grey and Mrs Patterson, for all their hard work in directing the girls to such laudable heights.
