On Monday 9th December, the LIV (Year 7) girls made the short walk along the Oxford Road to entertain the residents of Penn Court with some seasonal cheer. Bedecked with Christmas jumpers, tinsel, antlers and hats, there was an array of festive colour on display. The residents joined the girls for some of the more traditional carols, and these were interspersed with some beautiful solo items from Flossie and Bo. The girls also gave a rendition of their special carol, Travellers’ Tales, which they had performed so beautifully at the School Carol Service the previous day, before ending proceedings with an amusing rendition of Jingle Bell Rock, complete with home-made choreography!

The girls thoroughly enjoyed entertaining all the people there, and the residents and staff were delighted that they brought the spirit of the season on to their doorstep so enthusiastically. Thank you to Mrs Fryar for playing the piano, and to Mrs Hayes for accompanying the trip.
