Skiing has grown at St Mary’s over the last three years and we regularly experience success in the British School Girls’ Ski Races in Flaine; this year St Mary’s came 3rd out of 39 Teams. The ski team have now also competed in Les Deux Alpes, placing second in the Independent Schools ski and snowboard competition. We are also now The Independent School Girls Champions after winning Flaine in January. The team trains every Friday evening in the winter term at the Avon Ski Centre in Bristol to ensure that all of the girls are well-prepared for the tough competition at the end of January. Ski trips also take place in destinations such as Germany, USA and France.
