Girls compete for England and Wales at the Lacrosse Home Internationals

The 2019 Home International Series was held at Aldershot Barracks on 5th - 7th April. The usual teams were joined this year by the guest nation, Germany. Caroline (Wales) faced Amelia and Ella (England) in the first match of the tournament; it was a tightly fought match and great to see Ella and Caroline battle out the draw against each other.

Meanwhile, Annabel stood strong in the defence of the England U19B Team and celebrated fantastic wins against Scotland and Wales. In the A Team draw, Wales went on to beat Germany and narrowly lost to Scotland. The England A Team went on to play a friendly match against the Senior England B Team. The U19s gained a lot from playing against the seniors and put up a really good fight, narrowly losing by two goals. The England U19A Team continued their official matches with wins against Germany and Scotland.

The Home Internationals this year were a great break from revision, and so much fun to watch senior men’s matches, as their game is so different from ours. It was an honour for us all to represent our countries in a sport we all love.
