The annual Dauntsey's Show Jumping Competition took place at West Wilts Equestrian Centre on 17th November. First up were the 80cm team of Amelia, Daisy and Sophie. They all jumped fantastic rounds, just missing out on the team placings, however, Daisy finished in individual 6th in a very competitive class.
The next class was the 90cm Windsor Qualifier, with 19 teams entered to jump in this class and only two qualifications for Windsor, this was going to be a hotly contested class. Daisy, Fifi, Isla and Ottie were our first drawn team to jump. Being one of the first teams, they were always going to have to give it their all and they certainly did, finishing on a zero score with a quick time. This left the teams with plenty to chase and the girls held onto the top spot, ensuring that we picked up our Qualification for the prestigious Windsor Horse Show in May 2020.
Amelia, Sophie, Maddie and Lily E. also all jumped fantastic rounds and it was great to be represented by two excellent teams in this competitive class.
Ottie then continued her superb form by winning the 1m class. The course proved to be big and tricky to ride, with only a handful of clear rounds in a large class. Well done to the rest of the girls who also competed in that class: Emily, Fifi, Isla, Lily R., Maddie and Sadie.
The final class of the day was the 1.10m and it was great to be represented by Emily and Lily R.
It was a long and busy day but it was great to see so many of the girls out representing the school across all of the classes. We now look forward to some winter training dates before we begin competing again in January.
