Saturday 24th September saw us host our annual Sixth Form Open Day. The UV Form and their parents, along with with other prospective Sixth Form students, were warmly welcomed into the Helen Wright House to hear all about our Sixth Form offering.
We always enjoy sharing information about St Mary’s Sixth Form and how dynamic Sixth Form life is, and this year was no exception. After a range of talks from Miss Aherne, Mr Jones and our Head Girl, Jess Patel, we watched a brilliant video which captured just how varied a day in the life of a Sixth Former is. This video was put together by Alice Wade and her team of LVI helpers and it really showcased the broad range of experiences on offer. After this, girls and their parents headed to the Theatre to visit our subject stands and hear more about what each specification entails. We have 24 subjects to choose from so there is certainly something for everybody. There was a real buzz as girls reflected on their strengths and aspirations and talked to Heads of Department and members of our Sixth Form about what is on offer. We then rounded off the morning with a delicious lunch in Florence Dyas House before going on quick tours of our wonderful facilities.
