At the end of the Easter Term, a group of LV girls studying German paid a return visit to Bad Bederkesa in North West Germany. They participated in a range of activities including team building games, shopping, a visit to the cinema to see Die Schoene und das Biest, an art activity involving selfies, as well as enjoying a traditional German meal in the local  Schloss with host families.

The girls found it initially quite difficult to overcome their hesitation when speaking German but by the end of the week it was a pleasure to see their increased confidence! Most mornings were spent in school with exchange partners but since German lessons finish much earlier than in the UK, they had plenty of opportunities to spend time with their partners, who were delighted to meet up with the St Mary’s girls again.
