Science Department win STEM Classroom Display CompetitionThe Science Department were delighted to find out over the holidays that Mrs Jan McKernan's 3D model display board of the Fluid Mosaic Model (the model of the cell membrane we teach the girls in the first year of Biology
A Level) in the Darwin lab had been awarded first prize in the 2017 National  STEM Learning Classroom Display competition.

The competition aims to promote classroom creativity, giving teachers the chance to send in entries of their classroom displays. Teachers were tasked with sharing a photo of their boards, plus the resources used to create it. This will hopefully enable other teachers to be inspired and replicate similar ideas within their own classrooms. There were a total of six winners across the UK, including exhibits from both primary and secondary schools.
