On Tuesday 9th May, we were delighted to welcome into school Old Girl, Veronica Bidwell, to speak to the girls about her life after Calne and her current profession as an Educational Psychologist.

Having left school after her O Levels in 1963, Veronica’s original life plan never involved sitting behind a desk. It wasn’t therefore until aged 41, after marriage and babies, that Veronica got her degree in Psychology from London University. She has just returned to UCL to complete a research doctorate. Last year saw the publication of her first book, The Parents Guide to Specific Learning Difficulties.

It was a fascinating lecture, enjoyed by girls and parents alike.
