Every year there is a festival in Wiltshire, near Salisbury, which celebrates the subject of History. It runs for a week at the end of June and Historians such as Dan Snow, James Holland and Susannah Libscomb are just a few of the 150+ speakers that attend. In addition, there are a variety of re-enactment exhibits.
In addition to the daily programme, the festival also does specific school-based days. On Wednesday 28th June, 11 of our LVI History students went to hear a variety of talks, with topics ranging from the Vikings, to Black Civil rights and Witchcraft. Whilst a rather wet day, the girls had a very enjoyable and informative time and came back enthused about topics they have never considered before.'
