On Monday 12th March, during period 4, the LV (Year 10) girls took part in a workshop based on stars, run by Cardiff University.

'They talked to us about how stars can be classified based on factors such as temperature and lumination. We were then given a table showing names of various stars and accompanying information about them. With that information, we had to create large, to scale graphs based on luminosity against temperature, on our tables. Finally they showed us what would be the course of the sun’s life over the next couple of billion years, including its effect on Earth. It was a very enriching workshop, which was relevant to our GCSE curriculum.'
