We very much enjoyed welcoming back the Sixth Form on 4th September and hearing all of their news over dinner. There was a real sense of looking forward to the term ahead and all that it might bring.

Our after dinner speaker was travel writer and journalist, Simon Parker, who, through his tales of adventure, encouraged the girls to really think about what motivates and inspires them. He challenged us to build a life which embraces risks and encouraged us to recognise that we are part of a global community and we have lots to learn from the lives of others. He talked about some of his crazy journeys (like sailing and cycling 15,000 miles from China to London in 133 days) and, as he reflected on each, we learned that it is important to challenge your limitations and change your perspective; your life will be so much richer for it.
