The LIV and MIV (Years 7 and 8) are given the opportunity to choose a free book from a selection offered by Bookbuzz, a reading programme for ages 11-13 run by Book Trust, with the aim of promoting reading for pleasure in schools.

As part of the Bookbuzz programme, there is a competition for the pupils to re-design the cover of their chosen Bookbuzz book. It is something the girls here very much enjoy, and, as always, they created some fantastic designs last year for the competition, which ran slightly later than usual due to the pandemic. We are delighted to tell you that Christa (now in UIV - Year 9), came second in the competition with her book cover for City of Ghosts, by Victoria Schwab. She received a parcel of books in a genre of her choice - spooky/scary books! Congratulations Christa!
