Alice and Evie in LIV (Year 7), two of our robotics coders from St Mary’s First Lego League school team the 'ElectroLilies', had a very busy Saturday last week (27th November). They took part in a full day of Lego League planning, building and robotics and made great gains for our team!
'This weekend, two of our main coders of the First Lego League school team put in an impressive five-hour shift to move the project forward. And they did indeed! Four fully completed combined missions bring our working score to a competitive place. One of the crucial aspects of the session involved the unloading and reloading of different hardware components. Evie and Alice, after some practice, brought their initial 45 seconds to an incredible 15-second change over, just like an F1 pitstop! I have been very impressed by their hard work and focus. There is still much to do before the regional competition day in January, but Saturday was a massive leap forward for the team. Well done girls!'
