Congratulations to the following girls on their achievements in the Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators, which they entered in the Summer Term: Beauella (Level 3 South West Area Winner, Mandarin, Year 11) and Celestine (Level 3 Commendation , Mandarin, Year 10).
In the Summer Term of 2021, selected Mandarin learners entered this translation competition hosted by The Queen’s College, University of Oxford. There were over 1,000 entries from schools across the country, with many of those schools sending only their top five entries for each level. The judges selected winners for each level in 10 geographical areas and awarded 60 commendations.
Well done to all of our Mandarin participants and, in particular, to Beauella and Celestine!
