Many congratulations to UVI (Year 13) pupil, Lydia, who has won the German Poetry Recital Competition 2021, organised by Radley College.

Entries were judged based on four criteria: pronunciation, delivery, creativity and explanation of choice.

The judge said: 'I was very impressed by your reading of Jedem das Seine? by Horst Rehmann. I also enjoyed your thoughtful analysis and the expression in your reading. Have fun buying some German literature as a memento of the contest.'

Lydia received a National Book Token e-Gift card as her prize.
