anthea bell tnThis Summer Term, students entered the Anthea Bell Prize Competition for Young Translators, organised by The Queen’s College, University of Oxford. Across the country, 14000 students took part and 3200 entries were sent to the competition. We are delighted to announce that the following girls won, or were commended, in the South West region for their translations:

- Tabitha (LIV), area winner in Level 1 French
- Sage (UIV), area winner in Level 2 Mandarin
- Eleanor (UIV), commendation in Mandarin
- Norah (LV), commendation in German

A special mention goes to Sage who is also the national runner-up for her translation in Mandarin.

Well done to all of our St Mary’s participants for their amazing achievements!
