The Head Girl's Team have been very busy and set up a system to donate old used/unused text books. Following research, they have chosen to donate the books to the international Non-Governmental Organisation, Books2Africa.

Here, Head Girl, Sienna, explains how they have been working with the charity to help them:

'Books2Africa aims to promote a culture of recycling and to improve the quality of education in Africa, which is why we thought this would be an amazing opportunity to help and donate.

Across departments, we've managed to collect more than 600 text books, with subjects ranging from English to French to Economics. The Head Girl's Team also held a bake sale earlier in the term which helped to raise money for the delivery fees. Books2Africa will also send us updates about our donated books, such as the final destination and a photo of the individual who has received them.

This has been a very successful book donation and we look forward to organising another one in the future!'
