Last week the UIV went to Bude in Cornwall to Adventure International for a week of outdoor activities and team building. The weather was extremely kind to us, which made the week much more enjoyable, especially when we were in the sea or canal for the majority of the time. The UIV were separated into tutor groups for the week and spent their time doing a rotation of activities. Each day, before breakfast, there was a choice between swimming in the Bude sea pool or a 2k run. The activities that they partook in for the week included: Dragon Boating, Canoeing, Bodyboarding, Surfing, Beach party, Mountain boarding, team trail, high ropes and climbing.
In the evenings, they had a choice between outdoor activities such as five-a-side football, basketball or team games, or to do karaoke, fancy-dress party or talent night. During their time the UIV were able to go out shopping in Bude, and they had an ice cream treat half way through the week. Thursday evening was the leaving ceremony and a huge congratulations to Sophia for winning 'Superstar of the Week', Hesper for 'Joker of the Week', and Zara for winning 'Bottle of the Week'. UIV were also the winners of the prestigious 'Superteam' competition, which went to Anna, Sophia, Hesper, Millie, Elo, Halia , Bianca, Amelia, Amy and Violet with their instructor, Sam.
