Last weekend, three of our equestrians - Clemmie (UVI), Elizabeth (UVI) and Niamh (LV) - had a fantastic experience at the Cornbury International Horse Trials, while Florence (UV) competed at West Wilts Equestrian Centre in the BE100.
Clemmie (UVI) competed in the CCI-S J2* class where she was placed 2nd and finished on a score of 33.5. Clemmie and her horse, Lyjador, placed in the top 10 after the dressage phase, taking a competitive score of 33.1 into the show jumping round where she picked up just one time penalty. The pair had a very successful clear round in the cross-country phase to finish 2nd in their section.
Elizabeth (UVI) competed in her first Pony Trial. She did a dressage test with some lovely movements, though with a few costly mistakes. But it was such a super effort for her first test at this level. A clear show jumping round, only slightly marred by having to circle as they had added a final fence after she walked the course, and a super clear cross country. What a brilliant first attempt at this level!
Niamh (LV) also competed in the Pony Trial class. She had a great weekend and managed to do her best test yet at this level, followed by super clear show jumping but a small mistake on the cross country knocked Niamh from 4th to 11th place.
This weekend, Florence (UV) also competed at West Wilts in the BE100; she placed 8th, with a 32.8 dressage and two good jumping rounds. Another fantastic result!
