On 8th May, the LIV (Year 7) visited Bristol Aquarium to help their Environmental Science lessons come to life.  Recently they have studied ocean habitats including coral reef.  They have also been exploring the global problem of plastic waste and completed an experiment on microplastics in our water systems.  This and much more was covered brilliantly in a tour from Ollie at the Aquarium.  The girls enjoyed feeding the rays and meeting the aquarium’s most dangerous fish.  Feeding time at the sea horse tank was also a highlight.  We learnt that lobsters smell with their armpits, taste with their feet and urinate from their eyeballs!

Our thanks go to Bristol Aquarium for a highly educational and entertaining day out.
