Nineteen pairs of eager tennis players gathered on the morning of Sunday 12th May for this year’s Ed Rich Family Tennis Tournament and the weather couldn’t have been better. The competition was played in good spirit along with a, not unexpected, degree of competitiveness.

The preliminary rounds saw some spectacular tennis, with all the teams battling hard to try to reach the semi-finals.  Both family G.-Campbell teams, Libby and Eliza and Rosie and her dad made it through to the last four, along with Grace who was partnered by her brother and Lara who played with her dad. It was the two latter pairs who made it through to the final and it couldn’t have been closer. In a game of the best of five, it was two all and deuce in the final game of the tournament - but it was Grace and her brother who were the eventual winners.

Many thanks to all those who played and who helped to make it such an enjoyable and successful day, including those who came to help on the day. £1,020 was raised and will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
