Polar Explorer inspires the Sixth Form We were delighted to welcome back our Sixth Formers at the start of the new academic year. The new LVI (Year 12) quickly settled into Florence Dyas House and the UVI (Year 13) made the seamless transition into Helen Wright House. The girls spent time discussing their plans for the year ahead with their Tutors before enjoying a lovely supper. The atmosphere was positive and the enthusiasm tangible. We finished the evening with a motivational lecture from Alex Hibbert, a polar explorer, who talked about his long winter of education with icebergs, dogs and friends whilst exploring Greenland on an expedition that wasn't quite what he had planned! The girls left inspired about the opportunities which lie ahead and we look forward to supporting them through this exciting stage in their St Mary's journey.
