Congratulations to our Lower Sixth Young Enterprise company, Inkspiring, who successfully competed at the Wiltshire County heat this week, and will now head to the South West finals in May. Here, Company Directors Coco, Alice and Nancy report on the experience:
On Tuesday we took part in the Wiltshire county Young Enterprise competition. Surrounded by inspiring companies and schools from across Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, the atmosphere was energising and motivating from the moment we arrived.
We spent the morning going through two rounds of judging, each giving us our chance to explain our company and its mission. In the afternoon, we had the chance to showcase our hard work delivering a presentation to the judges and other schools. This was a real highlight as we got to stand together as a team and speak more about Inkspiring, and share our passion, journey and mission. Amid the bustle of the competition, we were also given a short masterclass, delivered by one of the judges, on the importance of understanding different characters and behaviours within a business, which was really interesting.
Overall, the whole day was enjoyable, supportive and full of brilliant conversations with other young entrepreneurs. However, the true highlight was coming home as the overall winner for the Wiltshire category, and we all are super excited to continue our journey and progress onto the next round in May.
