UV Drama students delighted parents and peers with nine extracts from Laura Wade’s Lewis Carroll-update Alice in the week before Half Term. This was for the scripted component of the Drama GCSE and all 14 students, including Evie T and her magisterial lighting design, excelled in bringing the weird, funny play to the stage.
Highlights included a deranged Duchess, a hectoring caterpillar, a very naughty schoolboy double act for Tweedles Dum and Dee, and a very climactic trial scene.
Students won’t know their grades until August but we have every confidence the girls will have done themselves justice. Congratulations to all.
